GLOUCESTERSHIRE - Street Lighting LED Replacement and Maintenance Contract
Gloucestershire's procurement of an LED replacement and street lighting maintenance contract is the culmination of a lengthy process which involved development of a robust business case to secure over £8m of reserve funding for an invest-to-save project. The presentation covers the key information that was shared with the Gloucestershire Commissioning Board to demonstrate the business case for investment LED lighting and hopefully will inspire other authorities to consider the case for investment in LED’s and demonstrate the level of detailed information needed to make a sound business case.
DEVON - Pothole Fund - Bidding and Implementation
Devon received the highest local highway authority Pothole Fund allocation in 2014. The presentation covers the reasons why their bid was so successful and outlines innovative approaches to highway maintenance activities that are being implemented by the County.
DORSET - Pothole Fund and Maintenance Approach
Dorset also submitted a successful bid for pothole funding. The presentation covers their general approach to the application, pothole repair techniques, highway treatment options, innovation, public engagement and asset management.
South West Highway Maintenance Investment and Customer Satisfaction
The South West Highway Service Improvement Group (SWHSIG) has examined NHT survey data to investigate what, if any, links exist between public satisfaction on highway maintenance and drainage and what is actually being done by SW authorities on these issues.
